From budget-friendly inns to full-service hotels, you’ll find comfortable accommodations close to the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus and Square One Shopping Centre.
Where Will the Conference Be?
The STTPA Conference will be held at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), located in the heart of Mississauga along the Credit River. Just 30 minutes from downtown Toronto and Pearson International Airport, the campus offers a modern and scenic setting for learning, networking, and collaboration.

Mississauga Stay:
Hotels near Square One Shopping Centre provide convenient access to Mississauga’s largest mall, a wide variety of dining options, and major transit connections. Popular choices in this area include the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Mississauga, Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Mississauga, and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mississauga.
Near UTM: For those who prefer to stay closer to the University of Toronto Mississauga campus, options such as the Glenerin Inn & Spa, Residence Inn by Marriott Mississauga Southwest, and the Hampton Inn by Hilton Toronto-Mississauga West offer comfortable accommodations within a short drive of the conference venue.
Toronto Stay:
For those who wish to explore the city, hotels near Hart House (downtown Toronto) provide a central base before or after the conference. Things to Do if Staying in Mississauga:
Explore Mississauga: Staying near the University of Toronto Mississauga or Square One means you’ll be close to some of the city’s top attractions. Spend time at Square One Shopping Centre, one of Canada’s largest malls, with hundreds of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. Enjoy the outdoors at the Riverwood Conservancy or take a stroll along the waterfront at Port Credit, known for its marina, parks, and charming shops. Mississauga’s Celebration Square has a diverse dining scene, and hosts events and festivals year-round.
Things to Do if Staying in Toronto:
Explore Toronto: If you choose to stay in downtown Toronto near Hart House, you’ll be in the heart of one of Canada’s most vibrant cities. During your stay, you can explore world-class attractions such as the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, and the historic Distillery District. Take in the views from the CN Tower, stroll along the Harbourfront, or shop and dine in the Yorkville neighborhood. Toronto also offers a thriving theatre scene, diverse restaurants, and lively nightlife, making it a perfect base before or after the conference.

Blue & White Taxi (Mississauga)
Both Uber and Lyft operate throughout Mississauga and Toronto, providing quick and flexible rides at the tap of an app. Costs vary depending on distance, time of day, and traffic, but traveling from Pearson Airport to UTM typically ranges from $25–$40 CAD. Downtown Toronto to UTM may cost closer to $45–$65 CAD. Both services allow you to choose vehicle types (e.g., UberX, Comfort, XL) and pay directly through the app.

UofT Shuttle Bus
The complimentary shuttle provides a convenient and sustainable way to travel between Hart House (U of T St. George campus, downtown Toronto) and UTM (Mississauga campus). Visitors can catch the shuttle at Hart House for a direct ride to the conference venue – an easy, eco-friendly alternative to driving.
Airport Travel
Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 20–25 minutes from UTM by car, depending on traffic.
Uber, Lyft, and licensed airport taxis are all available at designated pickup zones. Fares to Mississauga hotels typically range $25–$45 CAD.
Tips for Visitors
Taxis in Mississauga and Toronto are metered; no need to negotiate fares.
